The Laguna Public School Parents and Citizen Association is a very active group supporting the school in many ways!
Being a small and somewhat isolated school the P&C raises funds for things that other schools may sometimes take for granted. For example, our fund-raising enables us to provide bus hire to transport students to cultural events, excursions and to join other schools for performances and shared learning experiences. It has provided resources to equip a multipurpose room for art lessons and create additional new learning spaces. It provides enrichment programs in music with marimba lessons, and musical equipment being purchased for a guitar group. Funds also supply presentation night trophies to acknowledge students academic and sporting successes throughout the year. Funding has also helped with the resurfacing of the school driveway.
Each year our major fund-raiser is the Art Exhibition, with a commission from the sale of art work and the proceeds of a major raffle going to our school. The exhibition attracts over several hundred visitors during the course of the weekend and is a wonderful opportunity for established and emerging artists to showcase their work. Opening night is a vibrant and much anticipated evening with dinner always a success.
Funds raised from the 2017 art show went towards technology equipment for the classrooms, a defibrillator, music tuition and bus hire for various excursions.
You too can be a part of this years Laguna P&C Art Exhibition. Now in it's 27th year and being held from Friday 24th - Sunday 26th August 2018 in Laguna Hall.
BECOME AN EXHIBITOR. The exhibition regularly sells over $20,000 worth of art. If you are already an established artist we hope you will be a part of this year's exhibition and look forward to receiving your entry form for 2018.
We also encourage Emerging Artists to enter and appreciate the generosity of Ken and Antoinette Maurer who have kindly donated $300 for an Emerging Artist Award.

We need all hands on deck for the week prior to the event preparing the hall, hanging art and getting ready for the official opening.

SUPPORT. Please join us for the opening night, with the bar open from 6pm, a dinner sitting at 6.30pm and the exhibition opening at 8pm. Ticket price of $42pp includes a 2 course dinner, complimentary drink on arrival, entry to the exhibition and a catalogue. Bookings are essential as tickets for dinner are limited.
Tickets can also be purchased for the exhibition only at $15pp, which includes a complimentary drink on arrival, exhibition entry and a catalogue.
Due to NSW liquor licensing laws children under 18 cannot attend the opening night event.
Family. If you cannot be with us for opening night please bring along the family and enjoy the exhibition over the weekend.There will be a scrumptious cafe,local craft market, kid's workshops & art activities.
Open Saturday 25th from 10am - 4pm - followed by a lantern parade and BBQ from 6pm at Laguna Village Green.
Open Sunday 26th from 10am - 2pm.
Entry on both days is by gold coin donation.
